Power Holiday

The Hon’ ble Minister for Electricity – Mr.Arcot Veerasamy – conducted a meeting with all leading corporate, at the Secretariat on the dismal power situation in Tamil Nadu. Due to acute shortage of water in the reservoirs, failure of monsoon and wind power generation, he reiterated that the State Government is unable to generate enough power and will be constrained to provide uninterrupted power supply.

To tide over the situation, he said, it has been decided to declare power holiday from morning 6.00 a.m. to night 11.00 p.m. on scheduled days across the State of Tamil Nadu. In Chennai city, particularly, it will be as under:

1 ) Chennai South – every Monday.

2 ) Chennai North & West – every Tuesday

This may prolong till proper Monsoon sets in and wind power generation is adequately achieved.

So…what will be the result if the monsoon wont set in???It is already late what if it is further delayed???

I’m happy that the Government workers maintain punctuality atleast in this, i looked at the clock when the power went off today it was exactly 10:00 am and again i looked at the clock when the power came back to my surprise it was sharp 12:00 pm. Great, isn’t it?? 😛
