Yesterday (March 18th 2008) ,i was traveling in my college bus.The bus made unusual noise…i had a hunch that there was some problem with the gear mechanism….the driver rode the bus till Thiruvanmiyur RTO without any problem but then it started….he couldnt shift gears!!!!he drove the bus for about 5 to 10 minutes in 2nd gear!!!Before i got down at my stop the driver tried to shift gear and the gear came with his hand!!!!He coolly gave the gear to the cleaner and continued to drive the bus!!
But that was not all…today (19th march 2008) the driver drove the same bus with the same gear problem…and some how managed to reach the college on time!!!
Same happened here…..no gear but the bus moved on!!!
Hats off to the driver!!!!
Those of who who saw the tamil movie named “SUNDARA TRAVLES” will know how Vaigai Puyial Vadivelu pulled the gear out of its socket to kill a mouse which chewed his passport in the movie…
